Dalhousie Architectural Press is an academic press based in the Faculty of Architecture and Planning of Dalhousie University in Canada. The Press publishes books and monographs on Canadian architecture, design research, urban design and development. Their goal is to foster a wider appreciation of architecture and its allied disciplines in Canada by featuring the work of exemplary practitioners and providing a critical context for a broader discussion of the built environment.
Dalhousie approached Bhandari & Plater in 1995 to design a branded publication system to be applied to all future book projects. The sophisticated grid architecture is still in use today and is the underlying design foundation used by many publications we have produced for the university.
